Come and join the Yale Humanist Community for New Haven’s annual Cook and Care Walkathon!

Annually, the Interfaith Cooperative Ministries, a collection of religious ministries and other secular non-profits across New Haven, runs the C&C Walkathon on October 20th.   All proceeds will go directly to local soup kitchens and shelters (specific organizations listed on the flier).

Sunday, October 20th at 1pm
@ Celentano Field, Albertus Magnus College
700 Prospect Street New Haven

Do I Need to Register?

You do not need to register with the Yale Humanist Community to walk with us as a group at the C&C Walkathon.  But you do need to register with the ICM hosting the events.  Registration is $20.  However, for the YHC will provide a student discount of $10.  All proceeds will go to local charities in New Haven.

You can register directly at the event at Celentano Field at 1pm (and before 2pm) or register online here.  If you register online, make sure to say that you are participating with the Yale Humanist Community!!

What Do I Need to Bring?

All you need to bring is a good bit of energy and, if you have one, your Yale Humanist t-shirt.  We will not be making a banner (hopefully next year!) but we are aiming to show some solidarity through all wearing t-shirts.

If you do not have a Yale Humanist t-shirt you will be able to buy one at the C&C Walkathon event.  Just one more reason to come!  If you don’t want to buy one (or in case we run out) you can also wear some other Humanist t-shirt you might have.

How Do I Get There?

Unfortunately, the YHC will not be organizing a car to the event this year.  However, it is within easy walking or biking distance from Downtown New Haven.  Just go straight up Prospect Street.

For members of the Yale Humanist Society or Open Party, contact your groups to see if there are any plans to meet before going to the event (see links for contact info).
